I purposefully don't use capitals on such things as holidays, to intimate a lack of importance in them to me - and perhaps in general. Such things as 'endeavours' are an intention of british flavour. Though without the brogue. Grok than one. That last one is past its due. Are we still having fun? |

I suspect you meant "Grok that one." --- Quote from: Ummon on November 05, 2009, 06:41:19 pm ---I purposefully don't use capitals on such things as holidays, to intimate a lack of importance in them to me - and perhaps in general. Or google if you're like me. --- End quote --- In junior high, I got both a dictionary and thesaurus for christmas. It was implicit to me that both were necessary in writing endeavours and such. I used the thesaurus in looking for a word that I felt might be appropriate for the circustance, or more appropriate than the one I'd already had in mind. Which of course then I'd go and look it up in the dictionary to make sure it was precisely what I wanted. In more recent times, I've used thesauruses to find a word I've had in mind that I haven't been able to remember. That is, I've looked at words I've thought are similar as pathways to that word. Then, if I've found it, I've gone to the dictionary to check on it. Of course, since '02, I haven't used a physical set of texts. --- End quote --- Soooooo...........yes? |

It's settled down quite a bit. |
