Ford Recall
Fordman:
I'm just wondering if a BYOAC user was named 'Toyotaman' and all knew he worked for toyota if Hoopz would have made an 'in your face' type post about the 3.8 million toyota's & lexus's that were recalled 2 weeks ago? Or admit the tundra engine are junk? or admit the the Tacoma, some Corrolas & Matrix's are UAW made at NUMMI in California?
Oh, by the way Hoopz,
When I finally got out of bed this morning, contemplated coming to work. Then decided to motivate, I was ten minutes late, I didnt call the boss, I called the guys I work with to cover me, as I have covered them in the past. Then as I strolled into the building, I went to the cafeteria for breakfast and coffee, after an hour had past, I picked up my morning paper, stopped by the 'jon' to take a 'hoopz', looked myself in the mirror, gave the ole 'that-a-boy' to the reflection.
As I walk the assembly line, I stopped to talk to 6 others, they all had their heads behind the mid-morning paper or on their cell phones placing bets with their bookies. I pulled out a few bucks and said 'put 3 on Momma-Said in the fifth'.
As I finally made it to my work station, I threw my paper down on the floor. Yelled, 'Hey, where's my chair?'. The other guys laughed at me as they sit snuggly in their chairs. I looked around and mine had been used by the Union rep that stopped by to pat everyone on the back for 'doin their part'! I grabbed my chair, then the break bell rang!
I walked into the break room, grabbed a 3-pack of raspberry zingers, more coffee and opened up my paper. After a few minutes the words started blending together and out like a light, I was asleep. 3 hours and a drool mess later, I woke up! I stumbled back out to my work station, went to put on my work gloves, the lunch bell rings!
I took off my work gloves, walked back into the lunch room, grabbed a soy-burger, bag of chips and a large soda. Watched the noon news as it replays on the closed circuit television in the plant. After an hour of watching gloom & doom on the news, I walked to the 'jon' because the breakfast from earlier was being pushed out. A few minutes of taking another 'hoopz' and wipe it with a toyota advertisment, I felt so much better!
On with my work gloves, but I couldnt find my safety glasses. So I walked to the safety office that is on the other side of the plant. As I stroll to make my work day a safe day, I stopped to chat with a few and to see if my horse won in the fifth race. He didnt, so I opened up that big wad of cash again and placed another bet. After reading the Daily Racing Form, I walked back to my work station. The beak Bell rang!
I wondered back into the break room, grabbed a Hershey bar (to help with the 'Hoopz's) & coffee. I then grabbed a rather worn copy of Maxim, read it from cover to cover. Got up, walked out to my work station and forgot that I didnt get he safety glasses because I stopped to make a racing bet! Off the safety office I go. Halfway there, I stopped at the 'jon' again, swear I re-filled lake Michigan. Then the safety office was closed. Why would the safety office be closed? I got on my cell phone, called the Union office, they said the Safety guy was on vacation. It didnt matter anyway, shift was over in 10 minutes. I walked back to my work station, put my gloves back in the box, chained my chair to a pole and headed for the door! Just another typical day for myself and my co-workers!
I guess you believe all the stories like this that 'supposedly' happen at the Big 3 everyday? Let me tell you, the line stops and its not for a safety reason, you go home for 3 days! It's balls to the walls and you better be ready or the car behind you will go right up your ass!
Just thought I would share!

After careful consideration of Hoopz' character, and assuming that Toyotaman has posted in a manner similar to Fordman, I would have to say OF COURSE HE WOULD!!!
As I have said before, I have owned more Fords than any other brand of vehicle.
In my driveway you will find one Ford and one Toyota.
Listening to your non-stop barrage of crap against Toyota, coupled with the fact that the Toyota is the vehicle that both Mrs Cheffo and I prefer to drive (vehicles are comparable models), is enough to convince me that I don't really want to buy another Ford.
:dunno

Me too. My first was a '68 Mustang and I currently drive an '03 Windstar.
We all make mistakes. ;)

I like raspberry zingers...
I have owned 1 Ford in my life, and I don't think I would buy another. I had nothing but trouble.
