Test Fixtures ( General Question)

BobbyB:

I'm a Tech in the Arcade Game industry and part of my job is building test fixtures. I'm curious if anyone in the private arena would be interested in them? If you have ideas which games, either specific or general type , people would be interested in please let me know. My Email address is Shadowpoet_27@yahoo.com

GuyDanger:

Could you post some pics of some examples of what exactly a test fixture would be?

BobbyB:

Test Fixture. Designed to test a specific board set or single board. The one pictured was build to test an I/O board for a game called Junior Jockey. It allows the tech to work on a board outside of a game yet still has all the features to activate the Inputs of the board as well as allowing for the outputs to function.

That looks sweet. What does that PCB do ?

I guess the problem here is that this is mainly a MAME cab builders forum. You may have more success at the KLOV forum.
Apart from that, we're hobbyists. As such, we don't repair large numbers of the same board.

If you could come up with a pretty universal set-up for various boards (non-jamma) you could have a winner here though !

BobbyB:

There is a game called Junior Jockey. It's a horse racing game that has a horse the player actually rides. The test fixture pretty much simulated the horse so the input output board can be tested and repaired.  Thank you for the input you gave. That's kind of input I was looking for. I can build a test fixture for just about any type of game so if anyone ever needs one you can email me and we'll talk.
