The Latest creation from Kaytrim's Kustoms

Kaytrim:
It has been quite a while since I have posted about one of my joysticks here.  This one is so unique I just had to share.  I have a more detailed description on my blog but I'll put a few details and pics here.

Curly Maple frame dyed with a custom color created using TransTints.  Each button contains 2 LEDs that light when the button is pressed.  Three other circuits control special LED effects in the bottom, joystick top and artwork.  Each of these effects is controlled by a microprocessor.  This joystick is also wired to work with PS3, XBox 360 and PC.  By pressing or not pressing the middle button on the side when plugging the joystick into a console determines which console pad has control.  The default is the PS3 board.

Here are the pics and a video.

WHOA! That's the ultimate game stick!
That's some fine work, and the wiring and boards you got looks pretty clean for being so much in there! Love the finishing too!

Very nice work Michael, great finish on the timber and use of the LEDS in the artwork, I've come back several  times to check this out.  Artistic and unique for sure.

n88n:
very nice!  I am sure the kid in the corner is a reference to something that I have not seen but it is a little creepy.  It is an unsettling image with to say the least.

real cool stick though.  I think that was the first time I have seen part of the CP graphic incorporated into the buttons.  Very cool.

What type of joystick is that?  What did you do to it?

drventure:
Very slick. Love the use of curly maple, and the beveling.

The art... well, not my thing, but glowing eyes are an interesting, nicely subtle effect.
