| Can I make a coin mech take only tokens? |

I want my coin mech to take only tokens and no other coins. :P I can remember as a kid at chucky cheese that the cabs wouldn't take quarters, only tokens. But isn't a token slightly bigger than a quarter. What would keep a quarter from activating the switch. I have a happs coin door and mech but no tokens yet. Anyway, I have been playing around with it and I think I got how it works. I also read the "how to make a coin mech accept tokens" on the arcadetoken site. I guess my question is, once I file down the plastic to make my mech accept tokens will it still accept quarters? Again my goal is to have a coin mech that only takes tokens. :dizzy: |

Depends on the particular coin mech and whether it's all mechanical or electronic. |

I've never done it, but I did just see this video the other day and wonder if this is what you're after: http://www.arcaderepairtips.com/2009/06/19/adjusting-a-coin-mech/ All of mine take quarters, but it would be pretty fun if I had a bunch of tokens to change them, let us know if this works. |

In the one I have there are magnets to insert if you dont want to accept quarters, its a happ one. The magnet stops anything that a magnet will attract from being accepted. I took mine out though since I wanted tokens and quarters to work. |
