| Anyone recess their joysticks for ergonomics/comfort? |
| (1/4) > >> |
| GaryMcT:
My U360's are slightly below normal height from routing and bottom mounting. I'm tempted to recess them more so they'll feel more like the height of a Defender or Pac-Man stick. Does anyone else do this for their general purpose sticks? |
| Ginsu Victim:
Man, you'd hate mine. I have 3/4" wood with no routing and I love my U360s the height they're at. |
| GaryMcT:
Are yours flush at the top of the wood then? |
| Xiaou2:
This may be due to the way you are holding the stick itself. Most people play the classics (balltops) with a more angled wrist... while the fighters (Bats) are generally played with the wrists being vertical. |

this thread is confusing to me? Which direction are we talking? Joystick shaft feels taller or shorter? I play SF so I have to have my joystick at a regulation height or I will be at a disadvantage when I need to use somebody else's joystick. For IL competition sticks I like them in 5/8 to 3/4" wood with the double spacer. For Japanese style sticks I want the joystick shaft to have exactly 23mm between the surface of the CP and the bottom of the ball top. Anything else just feels off to me. I play SF with a variety of hand holds depending on the character, but I've taken to using the wine glass hold more often now. |
