20" SVid flatscreen TV for sale a WallMart (150is)
Lilwolf:
For all who want to use SVid TV and don't want to spend 300 bucks... for 150ish (don't remember for sure) there is a 20" SVid offbrand tv being sold at wallmart.
Might be great for some. I'm considering it for a cocktail table... haven't decided if I'm going that route or trying to get my 19" arcade monitor working... but I hate dos...

I was wondering if I was the only one that had my eye on these :)
The brand name is APEX. They make the most familiar of the low-cost, but very compatible DVD players. The durability of the DVD Players leaves a bit to be desired, but they are decent for the money.
The 20" APEX TV is VERY nice looking. I haven't had the opportunity to see one running MAME, but the picture quality from the S-VIDEO is excellent. The price is pretty much unbeatable for the features.
If I was starting a new MAME cabinet on a tight budget, one of these would definitely find it's way onto my shopping list.

Hmmmmm.. very very interesting, I was originally going to go with a 25" s-video tv, but a 20" flat screen for 150 sounds absolutely tempting. Maybe I'll somehow get some money and get one... hmmm.. very promising...
-thanx for pointing this one out

I had one of these for my cabinet but a very frustrating problem was the fact that the tv reset itself everytime you turn it off. You turn the set off and it resorts back to channel 3 or 4 I believe. Had it stayed on the channel I wanted I probally wouldve kept it. :'(

Best Buy has a 27" svid for $219 if you want larger just go to bestbuy.com. I haven't even got my cabinet yet to make a monitor decision.
