sorry i really gotta plead the ignorance card, where did you come up with that figure?

HI-FI is the same as "high end" and usually is in reference to clarity of the sound (IE no distortion) where are you getting this "size" figure and i've seen plenty of small speakers sound better then larger so size is'nt every thing.

With mine however, I made sure that there was a separate volume control controller wire.  It makes it a lot easier.  I run mine underneath my control panel on the outside of the machine.  I just reach under when I want to adjust the volume or tweak the bass.

My speakers have the same feature and I have it mounted in the same place. Mine also has a power switch on the volume control so I can turn them off when I am not using them.

I wired up the volume and control panel for the speakers (I used a 2.1 computer speaker set), but, with CabVol running, I find I just don't need the volume controls. I crank them all the way up and use cabvol to actually adjust volume (I set it to use a hotkey along with one of the trackballs, acting like a mouse).

Works great.
