Anybody know if this one would work?
http://www.hallresearch.com/page/Products/EM-EDID-HD15

I didn't found it anywhere else...
And if it works, which are the resolutions I should ask to be programed to use with a 15hz monitor?

SailorSat:  Finding my way with Calamity Drivers and an ATI card with a Sony PVM2530 (picture is great) and I have had too many heating issues.  I want to use my 8800 GT, but I need the dongle.  I soldered my own cable for the VGA to RGB so I feel capable, I just can't see what the pinouts are for the pictures you show on how to make the dongle.  Any chance you can tell me which VGA pins go to which pins on the EEPROM; I feel I can take it from there.  Thanks for all your contributions to this aspect of MAME.

Well VGA Pins 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 13 and 14 are wired from the male to the female connector.
And VGA Pins 5, 9, 11, 12 and 14 are wired to the 24LC22A.

VGA 14 (VSync) -> IC 7 (VCLK)
VGA 15 (SCL) -> IC 6 (SCL)
VGA 12 (SDA) -> IC 5 (SDA)
VGA 09 (+5V) -> IC 8 (Vcc)
VGA 05 (GND) -> IC 4 (Vss)

Hello,

Refreshing an old post for my 1rst one ;)

I just upgraded my MAME Sega New Astro City with a GTX 560Ti and it seems that now I need this dongle get it working  :banghead:

Did someone have one to sell me (the "official" one is a bit too expensive...) or could tell me how to do it myself (like how to program the 24LC22A) ?

Many thx for your help.

There is almost zero chance a dongle will help with a GTX650, the bios and drivers are too new.

I would look into crt_emudriver and a compatible AMd/ATI card. The home for crt_emudriver is on these forums - http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/board,52.0.html

Using WinXP might make things tricky. you will need to use the older versions of crt_emudriver from version 1.2 backwards, and make sure you get a card listed for the driver you pick.
