I love my happ comp's but wish i has 8 way Wico's for my MAME control panel DAMM! I just beat the crap out of them playing thirty games of Robotron I nearly broke my hand smashing them together! WOW they take a beating!!!!! :timebomb: But if i had Wico's I probably would score Higher then i wouldnt have to beat them up.
mytymaus007:
how does the U360 joystick's hold up to beating anyone have them that treat them how they should be treated :laugh2:

i have u360s, but being an adult, i dont feel the need to abuse them. a nice precision motion is far superior to large violent motions.  i do know that when my wife plays anything with them, she treats them alot harder than i would like, and i have not had any problems with them.  (when she plays pacman, the whole cabinet shakes).

personally i hate wico sticks, they are way too stiff.  i just installed  a NOS 4way wico in my donkey kong cabinet and i had to pull it out because you had to push really hard to use it.  i like a stick that i can easily manipulate with just my thumb and index finger, without moving my hand...the u360 is that stick.

I don't like Happ competition joys as they often "bounce" back the opposite direction, making playing certain old skool games very hard (e.g. Ghosts n Goblins, because Arthur keeps looking backwards after firing forwards, and this interrupts my mojo, so he dies).

However, they seem pretty good for fighting games like Streetfighter & MK etc. Some people who mostly play these games luv 'em (Happ comps) and probably think I'm a whinger. So if that is what you play, then go for it.

no doubt a 4 way wico is way to stiff for donky kong but great for pacman. And a Wico 8 way is a must for robotron. It sounds like U360's are similar to Sanwa sticks which i like for fighters. BUT the reason I love my HAPP comp because they take a beating and still keep playing. ANYONE know Robotron is a joystick BUSTER  >:D
