LCD CRT for desktop mame
Ond:
I don't know if this is any help BUT, I'm using a 21.1" NEC Model LCD2090Uxi SpectraView (4:3 Aspect) rotating monitor in my cab project (thread link is in my signature). I bought it specifically for the fact that it has no perceptible change in image quality when rotated or viewed from various angles whatever. It's also very ruggedly built and quite heavy. Also expensive. The Samsung unit mentioned in this thread is similar in quality and perhaps a bit cheaper.
Some nice features of the NEC unit include room brightness compensation auto-adjust (can be turned off) and software control of the monitors calibration. Picture quality is excellent and needle sharp as you'd expect.
