| Front-end for SWP (quiz machine) games? |

I've managed to get hold of some of those great SWP games (quiz machine games like Cluedo and Bullseye) and was wondering if anyone knows of a front-end system for these? I saw a while back a couple of machines on ebay that used a replica system that had the same layout as the itbox and games warehouse quiz machines (ie. with a large central image showing the game, a credit display and windows all around the edge showing all the games on offer, kind of like this: This front-end could also launch PC apps like internet explorer, emulators or whatever and would display them in those little windows just the same. Does anyone know of an FE like this that is available for download? I got the games but it'd be neat to build a combination jukebox/quiz machine for my new games room with a fairly authentic software system like this. |

Any joy with this? I'd like to make a quiz machine and would be interested in a touchscreen frontend. |

For any more who ask, the appropriate FE for this type of software is SimpleTouchFE, though if running proper pub quiz software you will have to do some messing about to make it fully compatible, as the background app 'emulator' they use conflicts slightly with the front-end and sometimes the app/game doesn't kill properly. (Not always, but sometime after 2 or 3 games have been played and quit back to the FE. If anyone attempts this type of setup and finds a solution to the above problem, please let us know and post it here. |

But all of mine run through an emulator of sorts. What do you mean by "proper" software ? (I assume original and not running them via an emulator?) |
