| If I always chose to filter no clones, am I missing anything good? |

As the title says. I always turn on the no clones filter, is there any case where the clone is better than the parent, or if is a safe bet to always turn off the clones? |

There are a few games that the parent doesn't work but the clone does. And some people prefer a specific clone over the parent (different graphics, sounds, controls, # players, cheats, bugs, etc). But every clone is a variation of the parent, so besides the above, you're not missing anything. |

If I'm not mistaken there are a few clones that are more well known than their parents -- Pacman being one of the more obvious ones. But, IMO, bottom line is if you filter clones and you don't notice anything missing (i.e. all your favorites are still there), it's probably not an issue... |

Some games depend on where you're from. Someone could be looking for Nemesis instead Gradius. Pacman / Puckman is definitely one that will confuse the uninformed. |

Ok makes sense. I did know about the puckman/pacman relationship, but makes sense that most of the changes are going to be subtle or regional. |
