Even better, you could rig the car steering wheel to play Outrun while driving.  The ultimate meta-driving experience!

That'd be one hell of a mobile arcade cab!

i've thought about doing somethign like this many times, however i just dont have a real good place to mount the screen in my car...and honestly i dont think i would really get much of a chance to use it.  i just dont find myself sitting in my car needing to play donkey kong all that often.

now, i have thought about adding a LCD screen to our minivan for the kids to watch movies, so there is a good chance that i will install a modded xbox when that happens.

You could always try a dashboard hack.....

If I eventually get a big showroom for Turnarcades, I plan to build something similar to Ridge Racer Full Scale, using an old car shell and a regular projector.

I had MAME on a carputer:

I later pulled the carputer infavor of an XBOX, which I ran MAME on as well, no pix of MAME running though

I no longer even have that car, but I still have the same girlfriend whos hands you can see in the last picture

My car used to have a computer in it...we would talk and play...jump cool ramps...and do sick tricks...Even had hot chicks do repairs on it....But i wrecked it a couple times...One joker driving a transfer truck smash the daylights out of me...I remember he had that cheesy mustache and goatee...
Few years later, i had to sell it...you know paying rent in LA is crazy...Now I am just trying to sell my soul to make money...Man i miss that car....

I built a PC in my car (now my fiancees car) in spring of 08. I haven't run Mame on it but it should not be a problem to do so.
It has GPS Navigation, DVD player, Bluetooth, Wireless networking via both standard wireless (802.11 b&g) and 3G HSDPA.

I wonder whether they had the steering rack modified so's they didn't have to turn the wheel so far to turn at low speed or from stand still. Looks like it'd bump inta yer leg if you had ta. Not to mention the dash curving into the passenger side leg area. Only in the outtakes did passengers let you know that after a jump they were cursing the director for their legs getting racked on that bastard. (I'm making this up, you know)
