multi player games that support duel monitors?
(1/2) > >>
Beretta:
ok so i stumble upon "outrunners" in mame and it's a duel monitor game..

i dont remember playing this particulat "outrun" in the arcade but it must have been a duel player sitdown.

a lot of racers have the multiplier option but it's usually though a link cable.

outrunners on the other hand is ran by a single board apparently.. so the game drove both cockpits apparently.

not only that but each can race independently as well as head to head.. IE it's like 2 games running at the same time.

was curious what other games was setup in a simlar way in mame, i know it has to be a short list..
Beretta:
cyberball 4 player apparently also uses 1 board to drive 2 screens also.
can play independently (1&2 vs comp, 3&4 vs comp, OR 1&2 vs 3&4) 2 different games or screen 1 vs screen 2.

come on there's gotta be more anyone else?

Space Lords (dual cabinet - pretty big) - you can either play the other side or not.

There are a few games for the Nintendo Dual System (like the red tent systems) can play both sides in one game.

In both cases there are actually two boards, but from the player's perspective the effecft is the same.
Kevin Mullins:
Run and Gun / Run and Gun 2

(basketball, fun and fast paced IMO)

I think there's some motocross/dirtbike dual game (by Sega?).

X-Men

Ninja Warriors

Some other side-scrolling shooter that used the same Ninja Warriors cabinet

Punch-Out

Super Punch-Out

T-Mek?
