Can this 20" 15KHz Mitsubishi monitor be used for my setup?
StephenH:
The specs show it as 15-38Khz on the page you found. You should be able to display both MAME and Windows up to 800x600. I would try setting your windows to 800x600 or lower and at 60hz before connecting it. A standard card will work for that, but using ArcadeVGA or Soft15Khz will get you the arcade resolutions.

I'm interested in how these specs compare to a typical arcade monitor.

Looks like a PC monitor! Are these specs close to an arcade monitor I need one of these for my desktop!
Jack Burton:
The 15-38hz scan rate means that it supports the native resolutions of arcade games, and you could even connect an actual game PCB to it if you wanted to.
When I first got my MK cab the monitor in it was broken and I used this one for a while.
The other specs say that this monitor is of a higher quality than most arcade monitors, and the dot pitch means that the image will be much sharper than a typical arcade monitor. This is either a good or bad thing depending on what type of games you want to play.
