best way to fill in holes on metal cp

I saw this thread and figured I'd pop in.  I have a cabinet that has... well, let's say a more severe case.

When I picked up the machine it was a Lethal Enforcers II (gutted except for the monitor).  I stripped away the first layer of overlay and to my amazement I saw an MKII overlay.  They I realized there was another layer, so I peeled that back to reveal some sort of football game, and of course the horror that the metal panel is practically useless.  It has a unique design so I was really bummed.  However, I have a plan on how I may salvage it so we'll have to wait and see.

I just thought you guys would get a good laugh at my pics.   :'(

my condolences, that panel is swiss cheese.

best bet would probably to get a fresh piece of sheet metal.. put it either under it, then bondo the holes and sand them smooth.. or place it on top.
