80s movies - stand up or not?
rohan:
Still awesome films:
Heathers still is one of the best dark comedy films ever made.
Spaceballs
The Wizard (it's cheesetastic and the girl went on to be the hot singer of Rilo Kiley)
Tron (a little slow at times but still overall enjoyable)
Willow
Labrynth
Kinda suck:
Breakfast Club (never liked it back in the day either)
Neverending Story (cool effects but did not age well at all)
Hoopz:
Brewster's Millions!

Even though I recently bought for nostalgia, I bought it knowing this. It's kinda slow, but I still love it.

BLASPHEMY! I am watching it ATM, and watched it a few months ago. I cannot imagine too many other fantasy films that have aged this well. (Yes the kids in the "real world" are dressed in 80s clothes, but still). The thing is pure unadulterated fantasy and done very well.
I challenge you to a duel!! FISTY CUFFS!

The Great Outdoors.
Watched last night, and other than the scene with the steak, just doesn't hold up. Maybe it wasn't all that great to begin with but I'm a huge mark for John Candy.
