Star Trek The Next Generation Boards?
« on: August 20, 2009, 05:31:38 pm »
Does anyone know how much or how rare board sets for STTNG pinball are? I've been presented with the potential to buy one for 100 bucks but "one of the boards is bad", and before I commit (if it is still available) I wanted to see how much it would cost me to replace said board.

I don't know which board it is, which is why i'm asking the broad "How much for board sets" question.

This might have to do since I lost out on TOTAN : (

Though....A black Rose has also surfaced for 1900

STTNG for $100?  My guess it is a typo at $1000, or someone baiting buyers to run up the price as high as possible.

I would jump a STTNG that only had a board problem for $100.  What is the worst that could happen, out $100?  I would think the cab in not completely trashed condition would be worth that.

STTNG at a $100 is a fantastic price as long as the playfield isn't missing bazzillion parts. The game plays well so as a collector stand point I'd jump on it, as a servicer and reseller there is a lot of potential for money in it as the value is pretty high so it's good there too. It's win win. Jump for it man!!!

I'm waiting to hear back from the dude.

He does mention that it's been sitting for over a year....I would think that even at a hundred bucks, I could make the money back in the playfield if needs be.

I just hope he still has it..waiting sucks.

I would buy a STTNG for $100 if it was only the damn cabinet.  Wow......hope it works out for you man.

Step 1 - you buy it for $100

Step 2 - fix it up real nice

Step 3 - Profit!.......by selling it to me for $1500

Agreed with the rest. At that price I would have replied immediately.  Worst case scenario, it gets parted out.  But I also agree that it's probably supposed to be 1000, and that waiting to reply may have cost you the cabinet.
