| I did something to Windows and now I get an "Out of Range" display on my monitor |

I had Windows set at 640x480 and I accidentally changed something and now the only setting I have is 800x600 (and up) which produces an "out of range" signal on my monitor... any ideas? |

Have you rebooted? Tried safe mode? |

XP doesn't think anyone wants 640x480, so they hide it. You have to go to "Advanced" then the adapter tab, then click "list all modes" to see the options to choose 640 x 480. |

There were a ton of modes there 640x480 32Bit color and 60Hz was the one that worked. Whew - I was freaking out for a minute... |
