I believe MAME32 uses a mame.cfg file. I don't really remember it too well, since I use the command line version. Upgrade to it and things are much more flexible :) The nice thing about the avga is that it's very very easy to setup to get all(ok all but like 5) the correct resolutions for each game. There is a nice utility available on ultimarc.com that creates an .ini file for each game in mame. Each .ini file has the correct resolution listed for the game. Mame looks at that right before it launches it to set the right resolution. Only downside is I had to change all vector games to 800x600 by hand. Oh and this setup may only work with command line mame, but I'm not sure on that. Look through the monitor section, AVGA/d9200 combo has been discussed A LOT. I think it's worth it myself, tho YMMV. |
