--- Quote from: severdhed on August 13, 2009, 01:09:52 pm ---i have player 1 buttons 5 and 6 connected to my optiwiz as left and right mouse buttons. i can still use these as regular buttons in any mame games, even ones that dont use the trackball. and when i am doing windows things, i can use them as mouse buttons. --- End quote --- If you rig it like this, doesn't the right click button bring up the right click menu all the time? Or does MAME hide all that, and there's no downside? I wish I would have thought of that for my cab... |

no, when playing a game in mame, the mouse buttons act just like any other buttons. so, for instance if i am playing Donkey Kong, if i press either button 5 or 6, absolutely nothing happens. if I am playing Street Fighter, it will kick. when mame is running, it blocks all windows funcionality of the mouse. when i go back to the front end (MALA) if i hit button 6, it is just like right-clicking and the menu pops up. it works beautifully |
