PC and Xbox in a cab?
Invincer:
I have a modded Xbox with a 200 GB HD that is gathering duest since upgrading to the 360... Now that I have a cab, I have wondered is it possible to run both the PC and a Xbox inside the cab where I could maybe switch a button to switch between them? I have heard of people doing something like this, but I couldn't figure how in the World they would get the CP controls to work on an Xbox.... Any ideas? Has anyone here done anything like this?
Ginsu Victim:
Why even have a PC in there when the XBOX has plenty of emulators already? I'd go XBOX-only.
Epyx:
I agree with Ginsu.
However, if you really want both you could just buy the DIY kit from www.xgaming.com and use their adapter for Xbox. That way you could wire your control panel with a DB25/Cat5 configuration and video switch. www.ultimarc.com also has a product that you can use with their IPAC http://www.ultimarc.com/xba.html.
Bender:
or you hack a controller and run wires from all the controls to BOTH the controller and the PC encoder as long as your not running them at the same time which ever one that is on will except the inputs. No switch needed at all
Although it won't work with an analog joystick (unless you can find a way to get the pots to match up)
tcleary:
i did it with a pc and an x360, if you have any questions let me know, here's my project thread.

i have a vga switch to go from x360 to PC and have an rca audio switchbox for audio. and I have different control panels. the x360 one (street fighter) will work on x360 and the PC because it is just transplanted sf4 TE sticks that have that capability. The other two panels just plug into the PC via USB. i have usb extensions dangling within reach just inside the cabinet so I can just unlatch, slap on whatever panel I want, plug in usb, then switch to PC or x360 pretty easily.
