No Sound on My Sega New Astro City

Hi chap

Well, as far as I'm aware, you don't actually need to use the sound amp on Jamma PCBs. I think the amp is there for other formats such as STV, etc which require an external amp (although I could be wrong on this!)

Anyway, sound kicked in completely randomly so I'm assuming there may be a loose connection somewhere - I'm hoping nothing too serious!

Thanks for the feedback, appreciate it!

The culprit for this is usually the pot.

Are they easy enough to replace/sort? Also, is it a pricey procedure? :P

Cheers for the help

Zebidee:

Fiddle with the volume pot before you go and replace it - if the sound is scratchy and comes/goes suddenly as you adjust the pot, then replace it. They are very cheap & easy to replace.

Ah, that's reassuring, cheers Zebidee! :)
