Not for sure, but I think the main event shows take some time to edit and stuff. Then that Lon and Chad is probably just voice over. It's pretty good tv, can't wait till it comes out.

Schulman also made the final table.  Should be good entertainment.  ESPN starts showing different events Tuesday.  40k no limit is first.

I dont want to come across perpendicular to any of my superiors but Im having trouble seeing where there is entertainment in the broadcast of these tournaments.  Ive totally enjoyed playing it but when the TV says "Johnny Trailerpark has  87% chance of something or other I have trouble being interested.  Is there anything more to this than bluffing, chance and counting?

bluffing is the "ART" of the game, and so are other aspects of it,..a good script  from the writers of the broadcast,..then it makes great television,...makes it dramatic,..then you can root for your favorite player,..hypes up the crowd,..its good for the percentages to be shown also,..even though you may find it boring,...so your favorite has a 98% chance of winning,..and then gets "SUCKED OUT" on the river....HAHAHHAHAHA.....it catches you by surprise,...then we have the whole card camera,..without that nobody would watch,.....you can learn alot from some of those things...
or at least to dream about winning something big like that..
besides, i think im greater than most of the people i play against. but thats just my cockiness coming out,...this monday im going to appear at the "BORGATA" hotel in atlantic city,...come by and say hello

A number of the guys at my workplace are pretty passionate about the poker broadcasts.  Seem to be the same guys who like UFC also so I guess it must give off much of the same vibe.  I ran into a guy going to university who was coming back from a tournament and had won a couple thousand dollars.  Ill give it a chance the next time I see it come on.

hey ,..if ever played chess,..then you should take up poker,...its nothing but a mind game...lota fun and very profitable!...have a home game with some friends,...lets say $20.00 buy in with rebuys at any time, and the blind stucture at only .25-.50 cent blinds all night,...youll do well,...what do you have to lose? $20-100 bucks? :dunno
might go home a winner as well,..i know i have have..
i got alot of my friends hooked,...now i get challenged all the time ...has anyone seen "FACE THE ACE" poker show?
all it takes is an ametuer player to win is ..3 rounds with pros,..
1st round won is 40.k
2nd round is 200.k
3rd round is a cool one million bucks!
So far nobody has won the mil,..but so far the show is pretty good.

100 bucks? That's a decent condition arcade cab right there! Play 10 games and it would be a good condition Guantlet cab! Are you trying to kill us! O.o

Besides, I could never understand how poker became a spectator sport... It is fun to play, but watching it is... .. .... . Well anyways, I am not a fan of sports to begin with, so meh...

If it werent for the card camera,..no one would watch it,....at least if you know what cards of your fav player was holding, you would be able to play the hand out in your head and see.. "what would you do in the players situation"??
would you make that raise?...or just call, or GO ALL IN!
sure playing is much more fun,...and if you bust out of a tourney in your casino, i wouldnt blame you if you didnt stick around either,..i know i wouldnt,..id go straight to the next table and play even harder to win,..but in your case, id go hit an arcade... :lol
PS>And oh yeah,...a good runnin cash game with a good streak of cards on your side can get you several "GAUNTLETS"...
