Identify this pin...
« on: July 23, 2009, 03:32:47 am »
From memory -- sorry, no pics.  :-\

A Williams table, if I remember.

Not exactly a pinball game per se. It had a "gun" where the drain would be on a normal pin, which you rotated with a controller and could "fire" balls with a trigger on the controller. At the top of the table there was a row of gates. Lights on the playfield would progress down from the gates toward your "gun". You had to aim and fire balls into the gates to keep the advancing lights from reaching your "gun".

Anyone remember the name?  ???

The Williams version is Hyperball and the Bally version is Rapid Fire.

It's been recreated in VP

Although if you are looking for a full screen version for a video pin cab, there isn't one. But there is a similar game out on Future Pinball called AstroBlast

Definitely read the rule sheet before you play it or you won't know what the hell you are doing :D

Ain't that the truth......... I absolutely love my Hyperball machine.
Very nice stress reliever indeed.
