Still no sign of my final prototype build if there is ever such a thing in this game... Will open a new topic when it gets here, I have all the parts the machine is set just waiting.
In other news does anyone know if the new u-hid is the same wiring as the minipac as I am looking to wire one in but dont have the pin out...
will do a full search as I'm sure on a active forum this has been covered.
cheers for the support so far and hope to have a great bartop to show you very soon.

hi , greetings from germany . my name is andreas and i m lurking here for some time now . i really love the project forum , lots of people with incredible ideas .  i m arcade infected for about 3-4 years now , got some fullsize cabs ( upright euro woodys and some candys, naomi , astro , ok babs ) and a few selfbuild cabinets, like 3 bartops and a cocktail table .
i like the design of ur bartops , very basic and no unneeded nonsens included , like marquees, spinners , balls , pinbuttons etc. did i mention , that i hate 2 mē us style monsterpanels with 500 buttons and 10 sticks ?  the white single player bartop has nice proportions of screen , panel and bezel.  the 2 player cabs could benefit of a larger screen. for horizontal setup i would recommend a 20 oder 21 inch tft. as an alternativ u could narrow the wide to approx. 55 cm around.  i also would avoid drilling and screwing in the frontplexi . doesnt look nice at all and makes disassembling unnecessary complicated.  i prefer cutting a slot in the top and the bottom . this way u can take out the plexi in seconds without any tool. the only thing u have to do is lift the control panel , maybe . u better stay with 1 type of buttons and not 2 many colors . multicolor setups almost look  kiddystyle and not very professional .
ps. i have to apologize for my horrible english , but its 25 years now i m off scool . the only practice left i have is the usual 100 word onlinegaming vocabulary.

			Hi,
Cheers for the feedback I'm not going to lie I would love to have done the plexi like that but I don't own a router in fact my tool set is so little I had to buy a drill and borrow a jigsaw so it is very much a one step at a time with regard to improvements. It seems with every one I build I learn something new or think oh maybe if I did it that way that would be cool, I think that is what I like most about this sort of project.
Not that I have a pro woodworker on board I think you will see some vast improvements even just in how much cleaner the lines are cant wait to get the finished product in hand so I can snap away and get some pics up.
I understand the colour setup I like naomi style layout and colour my self, The two two players were built to order so they picked the colours and the one player was just what I had around from when I got a PC controller off ebay years ago. I want a two player white cab with black buttons and balltops I think that would look very slick.
Cheers
