Need help repairing the golden ticket on Last Action Hero
« on: July 12, 2009, 08:50:11 am »
The golden ticket is worn on my Last Action Hero playfield from the kick out hole.  I have tried several time to match the paint with no luck.  In addition to the worn paint, the wear is ever so slightly into the wood of the playfield.  I have thought about trying to have a small overlay printed for the ticket but I am not sure if it would hold up.  Also, I do not have a good picture of the artwork.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Nick

I am eventually going to get a LAH & noticed this to be common so after some searching............

You can just lightly fill/sand the area.....maybe tape it off for a super thin coat of clear to make it smooth & then apply a golden ticket decal over it.

Here is a hi-res scan of the ticket: http://www.ballsofsteel.net/?a=viewscan&id=1416&file=lah%20ticket.jpg

Now its just up to you to get it printed @ the correct scale, something I would think mamemarquees could maybe do (let him know what the project is for so perhaps he can recommend the correct medium).  Honestly as long is it were scaled correctly or even slightly larger you would be fine.

Hope that helps, post the results if so because its sure to help myself & a lot of others.

First thanks for the scan!!!!!!

I am still working with mamemarquees.com on the overlay.  The first attempt looked great but ended up being to thick.

I will post the final product when finished.
