DSUB Connectors - Direct wire or via jumper strip?
Jack Burton:
I got $13 from my location (42539). I think these things would definitely be worth it at $2 or less a piece. I do wonder why though some of the higher end ones around the net are like $75! Geez, I didn't know some of this stuff could be as expensive as it was. I used to work for the University of Kentucky department of physics and I used to throw away boxes full of the stuff after the students had gotten through with it at the end of the semester.

This may actually be worth it....
This has now become my bane (how to wire this up). Without really thinking it through, I got the following cables to associate with certain setups:
CableInterface BoardControlDB37I-PAC2 (Old 28 input version)Joys/Buttons/EtcDB25LEDDriveLighted CPsDB15Mouse (?) Interface (forget which one)Trackball/Spinners
The method to my madness is I would have one cable for each controller I could COMPLETELY access via the cables. Even if certain items (i.e. admin buttons) are wired into it from another location.
What I'm looking at now is my first main CP using the 37 and the 25. The second CP would use all three (mouse controller w/lights).
This doesn't even get to the point of I have NO damn clue how to mount the cables now INSIDE the cabinet since it's cables and not just the interface/plugs that I could stuck in a sheet of metal.
