Any help with key mapping for z26?
BigDaddyE:
My daily post for problem solving!
What is the easiest way to key map with the z26?
I read an old post that says it automatically maps, which it did, however, the player 1 and 2 buttons are all over my cp.
Ideas?
Thanks!
Eric
PS, I think I may have this thing done for the 4th party! Still will be incomplete, but very playable. I hope to put pics up on Saturday. Couldn't have done it without this community! Thanks!
BigDaddyE:
Is there any documentation out there giving the assigned number to each key?
I can't find anything.
Thanks again.

You can try using AutoHotKey. But I think I tried that and it doesn't work. On my system, I have a version of z26 that I modified and compiled myself. The source code is available here: http://www.whimsey.com/z26/z26.html. I compile it with MinGW on windows xp. Some of it is in assembly and some in C, luckily the parts you're looking for are in C.
BigDaddyE:
Wow.
This scares me!
No idea what I'm looking for, pretty intense though!

There is a hacked version of z26 emulator which allows for key mappings via an INI file, so this is probably what you want.
- Go to the following site:
http://www.emuchrist.org/cpviewer/applications.htm
- Under the "Emulators" section, click on the "Atari 2600 - Z26 ver. 2.13 (jfath)" link to download it.
As an extra bit of information, here is a PDF file I found relating to z26, although I never looked into yet, but thought I would mention it.

I remember I started using z26 as the Atari2600 emulator but change to use the "Stella" emulator instead. Have you tried the Stella emulator?

Anyway, good luck
