EMS TopgunII and MAMEUI 32/64

I tried to do some searches on here but found nothing really pertaining to the problem I am having. Currently I am trying to use the ems topgun II on my desktop that I have a 22in lcd screen hooked up to. I can calibrate the gun and the mouse tracks correctly and accurately. However I cannot figure out for the life of me, how to set mameui up to read the gun. When I enter a shooting game the cursor doesn't move at all with the gun but if I move my mouse it still works. Once I get this problem figured out, hopefully with some of your guys help, I want to start using it on my laptop so I can hook it up to my 52in plasma I have in the basement. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

only done this under mame but the idea is the same. IN MameUI go to Options- default game options controller mapping. Set the lightgun device to lightgun and play with the mouse setting- maybe lightgun

I believe that I have tried this already, but currently am not at home. Are there any other suggestions that anyone may have as to why it wouldn't be working correctly?

In mame this is controlled by the mame.ini file eg:
--- Code: ---# CORE INPUT OPTIONS
#
coin_lockout              1
ctrlr
mouse                     0
joystick                  0
lightgun                  1
multikeyboard             0
multimouse                1
steadykey                 0
offscreen_reload          1
joystick_map              auto
joystick_deadzone         0.3
joystick_saturation       0.85
--- End code ---

The main issue is multimouse and lightgun

Then you can individually tweak using the mame menu in the games and the setup option in each game (F2) - and you can in Mame32 as well

IN mame UI (this works for me- just tested) - (Controllers Tab)Lightgun ON, Multiple mice on , offscreen shots reload, Enable mouse input on

Both guns work.

Well I just got back home, haven't tried to get it to work on my desktop yet. Was hoping to get some luck with the laptop, but apparently there are no drivers for vista 64? Has anyone been able to do this successfully? If so how have you done it? Thanks again.
