nervious about my health
shardian:
Well too bad you already went to the doctor. I was really wanting to tell you to stop bitching and moaning and GO! My coworker whined about getting his stress test and halter monitor. Turns out he had a major blockage and needed immediate bypass surgery - he was a ticking time bomb. Sure it put him down for a few months, but now he will easily outlive his father, who died in his early 50's.
Dartful Dodger:
I'm glad they have an idea of what it is.
Good luck on getting better and lay off the Viagra while you're on those nitro pills.

He could do it at Frankfort Hospital but if he finds anything I would have to be transported to Lexington.

BobA:
Coughing causing you to pass out is a quite common reaction. The problem is the coughing and shortness of breath. Heart and lungs are always related as the blood for your lungs is pumped by your heart and without your lungs functioning properly you cannot supply oxygen to your heart.
I have never smoked but have cardiomyopathy (enlarged heart therefore not as efficient) I have coughed to the point of passing out due to a combination of the poor heart circulation and asthma. You need to get to the root of your problems by seeing a specialist. But remember a heart specialist always seems to find heart problems and and and pulmanary specialist seems to find lung problems. You need someone who can look at both sides of the problem.
Please stop smoking.
