YOKE Resistance Readings
« on: June 22, 2009, 01:13:37 pm »
Been doing a lot of tube and chassis shuffling lately trying to build a bunch of random stuff I have laying around and figured this would be a good time to try and document some readings as I come across them.
Keep in mind these are NOT inductance measurements, just plain ol' resistance. ( Ohms )
Not as accurate, but merely a "ballpark" idea to know if a yoke from something may work for whatever chassis it is being built at the time.
Say you want to do a tube swap from a television, check the yoke, it may be usable for something as well.

If anyone has any readings that vary greatly from these or have any they would like to add please do.

How in the heck did I miss that ?? ...... I swear I have been all over the net looking for yoke readings and that page never came up. Nor do I remember ever seeing it even though it was apparently bumped up Apr 2009.

Anyone happen to have readings for a NeoTec 2700 or 2702?
Or any for the NeoTec 25" chassis?

Kevin, I actually just spoke to Carl Blessing today about the ohm readings on a neotec NT-2702.....He told me you can use the same yoke as the NT-2701 without damaging anything. The readings he told me I could use were Horicontal of about .6 and vertical of between 5 to 10 ohms....They are very close to the NT-2701, give it a shot....I tried it and it does come up. Hope it helps....

yes i do,the neotec 2702 is the exact same readings as a nanao ms9-29 yoke-it being a 300mh hl yoke

maybe a dumb question, on the other thread rick says the horizontal inductance for 15k is 1-1.3mh and higher res monitors have a lower inductance.
so why has this one 300mh, is that bad for the HOT or what?

so it should be 0.3mh or 300mh?
