Quick question.... why would the Japanese deliberately keep an old title like that away from Mame? It's not like Mame isn't available world wide. Or am I missing something screamingly obvious?

TOK:

I'm not familiar with the game, but I think its cool. I'll try playing pretty much anything, and I'm often entertained by horrible games. I still play Logger all the time, mainly because I think it might be the worst arcade game ever made.  ;D

I remember my local sports centre getting Logger in.  At the time I was heavily into Donkey Kong and I'd dabbled in other arcade classics like Pacman etc. But I couldn't get anywhere on Logger (of course!) and I remember thinking to myself... "am I just sh!t or is this game total bollocks?"  I figured I was just sh!t and persevered... mainly because the other arcade games I'd busied myself with were confirmed classics already. And surely nobody could release a dog now?!

LOL!

There are arcade "purists" who absolutely despise MAME and all it stands for.

THEY'RE the issue...

Well that is one way to make the value of something go up, make it scarce. I suppose if that sort of collector thinks that keeping the game from being dumped, they have increased the rareness of the game as it is ONLY available in hardware form.
