So what game have you bought way too many times?

(1/2) > >>

Malenko:
For me, its Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3.

I had it on SNES (both MK3 and UMK3)

I have the Arcade Machine

I downloaded it via XBOX Live! Arcade

I have it for the Sega Saturn

I have the Midway collection for PSP that includes MK3
I have it for the DS

and if you count trilogy, I have that on PC, PSX (both Black Label AND greatest hits), and I had it for the N64. (liked the game better cause shang tsung could morph with no load times but the N64 controller BLEW for fighting games)

I have no idea why I bought it so many times. I guess I did what I could to keep midway from going bankrupt, lol

Quick fun fact, the Ultimate Finisher Demonstration in UMK3 on the Sega Saturn takes about 25-30 minutes to watch, the game plays a set, stops loads, then repeats and the Saturn's poor 2x laser just cant keep up.

Mauzy:
I've done pretty much the same thing you did with Galaga. I own it on XBLA, NES, PS1, DC, and of course the cabinet. I guess you could say I'm doing the same with Ms Pac, though I only have the guts to a cabinet, XBLA, DC, PS1, and SNES.

ChadTower:

Berzerk.

I have probably 40 copies of it for the 2600 (and an additional ten hacked carts)... ten for the 5200... multple copies of both the original for the Vectrex and the debugged version... I've had 4-5 copies of the board game... I have the cab next to my workbench now too.

There are probably a ton of others I have more versions of over the years but Berzerk is the one I keep buying on purpose.

Is this like Catcher in the Rye on that movie Conspiracy Theory? I just remember the guy had like hundreds of copies of it.

Can't say I have an obcession over any given game. I did buy Jimmy Buffett Songs You Know by Heart 3 times before 'borrowing' it off the internets. I figure it was 'borrowed' 3 times from me first.

TOK:
Defender... Have it for Atari 2600, Atari computer, ColecoVision, on a PC compilation and built a dedicated MAME cab for it when I couldn't find a clean one. Still plan to add the dedicated once my gameroom is done.

One of the few games that I can just keep coming back to.
