TOK:

How about when he goes into the arcade in Florida and says something to the effect that "There are certain people he doesn't want to be around" (or associated with, I forget the exact quote)?

If the film-makers wanted to make Mitchell look like an a-hole, he sure made their job easy.

Yeah, thats one of the scenes that really stuck out and made Billy appear to be a real arrogant jerk.  The words came out of his mouth, no editting needed.  If they were "friendly" at one point in time.... it doesnt seem like it was the case when that was filmed.  Perhaps thats all part of Billys "act", who knows, still a movie worth watching.

Ginsu Victim:

I have seen the explanation of what really went down in that scene, but I'm fuzzy on the details.

Right, it doesn't make sense (and there's a reason for that, which I'm unable to go into at the moment).

Benevolance:

It all started one day when Steve finished a game of Donkey Kong at the local arcade and put another quarter in to play a second game, even though Billy had CLEARLY put his quarter on the dashboard, indicating it was his turn next. Steve clearly violated arcade etiquette and the price he paid was Billy's friendship. From that day forward, the pain curdled Billy's heart and his existence became a treatise in revenge, written in pixels and coin.
