Steve Wiebe at E3
Ummon:
There was also some archive footage of him, I think at a TG thing, Walter Day in the background, and Wiebe cracked a million.

I was watching the G4 event off and on and was amazed at how well Wiebe does....its amazing. I finally watched King of Kong... and boy does Billy Mitchell seem like a --cream-filled twinkie--. What a little weasel at Funspot, the Mitchell cult follower, delivering the tape and constantly looking over Wiebe's shoulder....creepy.
I hope like hell Wiebe keeps trying gets the record, live. That may finally cause the shady Billy Mitchell to come out of hiding and compete live, I honestly dont think Mitchell could do it under the pressure Wiebe does it in.
Go Team Wiebe! Keep trying!

The tape was a bounty and it arrived before Steve did. No one knew for sure he was even coming. Anyone who could beat the score on that tape would win $10,000 from Billy.
You need to read up on how much of that movie isn't true.

Well that was an interesting read with the additional information and makes Twin Galaxies appear more impartial than they looked on the movie.
However, I stand by my statement, that Billy Mitchell still comes off looking like a --cream-filled twinkie-- (sorry for not censoring the comment initilally) , his comments and arrogance on film are still his comments and arrogance. And they other guy who wants to be Billy Mitchell is still a creepy weasel.
Ginsu Victim:
Keep in mind:
The arrogance is an act. Just part of the character he puts out there.
The comments most of the time are out of context to make him look bad. For instance, when he says that the way to prove yourself is to show up and do it live, he isn't talking about the Funspot event. He's talking about the 1982 photoshoot where guys like Steve Sanders had to come prove themselves, and be outted as liars. (Though Sanders is good at DK and even wrote the book "How to Win at Donkey Kong")
Take note of the scene when Billy is on the phone with Brian Kuh, and watch his phone change. They spliced together different conversations.
I still love the movie, but there is a lot more I could point out that is wrong in that movie. (Like the restaurant scene...)
