<drives by pizza place> Hey, a Pole Position!

Um, yeah. Not quite. It had a 48 or 60-in-1. Had a nice monitor in it, though. And, lastly, the rest of their unsurprising games - although he said the owner of the joint owned the machines, and that the multi got decent play. Hmm.  (My phone takes pretty damn good pics.)

whats the deal with everyone raping and converting MKIIs? I mean at least that one can be reverted, but Tekken?

Hey, what's wrong with Tekken?  :'(   What's funny is it's Tekken 2 with a Tekken 3 marquee and MK2 artwork.  ;D

That's got to be hard to play at such a steep angle.  Not a good conversion.

Not to mention the raping that guy will get if he gets busted for having that 48-in-1 board on location earning money.

Namco is keen on protecting their IP rights.

The MS Word born paper marquee is a nice touch. Is Blinky in the wingdings font somewhere or is that clipart?  :P

I'm dreading the day when they come to take my Twitter account and BYOAC account away.  ;D

It's an awful conversion, but what are you supposed to do with a Pole Position anyway?

A) Throw it out
B) Hey, it's a working machine! Awesome! Wait....now it's dead.
C) I want to restore it......how much of pain is this gonna be?
D) MAME / 48-in-1!

The correct answer is C) - restore it.

Everyone I know that has done a restoration on these has shaved a few years off their lives from the frustration. They can be a real pain in the ass.

Yeah...  but I want one.  It's my wife's holy grail...  everytime I see one hacked up here (or getting hacked up here) I have to cringe.

You know, I hadn't thought of that.

That's what I was thinking this morning, too. I didn't play the machine; probly should've as it was a quiet night. Maybe if I run by there, again. However, that angle may not be as bad as some old cocktails and those weird Euro bartops or whatever that have the stick horizontal.

It's worse than that. The 48-in-1 comes with a little 6x8 paper manual. That guy's "marquee" is a photocopy of the manual's cover.
