judging by the 3 cabinets i have owned...around 6ft tall is pretty standard.  some are a little taller, some are a little shorter.

I'm going to have to agree with everyone else.
I'm 6'4" and my cab in progress is 6' even, feels like a good height to me.

Spacejack:

I've been wrestling with this question as I plan my Mark II (i.e. not a hacked dynamo mini) cab.  Been exploring with heights and I find I get a lot of neck pain from slouching.  I have little access to real machines to play around with and match...  but what I find is that with the monitor slightly tilted and with sightline vertically lining up top of screen with my eye level (I'm 6'1") it still hurts after only a little while.

I don't want to make a cab so freakishly tall that others will have trouble playing, nor do I want it wildly inauthentic... should I be looking at a nearly flat monitor much lower?  This is harder for me to gerry-rig but might be worth exploring.  I don't want to make final plans till I've got this worked out.  Have considered a cocktail but I think I'd have to use LCD to get the necessary knee room.  Still really up in the air.

My cab is a little on the tall side at 6'2" (my casters add about 1.5 inches). Most cabs I have seen that are of a similar design seem to be much shorter like around 5'6".

However I like my cab and it fits me perfectly without hurting me after prolonged periods of play (I'm 5'10").

My cab's screen is also not as laid back as the ones it's modeled after which means I'm not looking down as much.
