I saw it last night. I liked it quite a bit. There were quite a few plot holes, but whatever. Ya gotta give a movie like this a little slack. BTW, just how many black holes was Spock planning to make when he set off with like 200 gallons of red matter? ;D

It is a reference to the original series. The actor playing Chekov is actually Russian but wanted to pay homage by having a bad Russian accent. Ironic, eh?

I didn't get why was he carrying that much red matter to begin with.
