I don't have a white leather sofa or do I want one - but I do have 3 pinballs and 2 cabs! They are nowhere near the lounge room though! ;D

Nah.  People not in the hobby still like the looks of my machine.  It's not the prettiest, but it's quite a looker.  It helps that I duplicated a classic (Centipede), one of many cabinets from that era that were designed to "attract" people to them.   :burgerking:

I'm being a little over-the-top egotistical but I believe aesthetics are important - from not having 50 "random color" buttons on your panel to buying a display that you won't have to butcher the sides to fit.  You can't just hide these things in the closet.   Pretty 'em up a little.

Actually my design plans  do fit in a closet, and its portable so you can take it to a party or friends house :P  but thats a different story :P

I'm not sure I'd be willing to pull apart a TV to build a cab and my idea for a cab running off a PS2 would require a componant 480i TV.  However, I sure as hell wouldn't to THAT to the cab.  Worst case, I'd take the TV to a TV Repair shop and ask them to disassemble and discharge it for me so I could mount and install it without the case. o_o

Seriously, it's not all that scary....no, wait, obviously it is. It's not really all that dangerous....okay, no wait it is. But only if you're unconfident and don't know what you're doing. It's really pretty simple. I've changed out a chassis, pulled a couple monitors apart an all, and I'm still here.
