| Turnarcades website 2.0 in development |
| (1/1) |
| Turnarcades:
It's been a long time in coming but the Turnarcades website is now undergoing a complete re-design by one of our very own BYOAC members and should be ready in the next month or so. The new website will include: * Our complete new product line-up, with more models, options and upgrades and our 2009 prices * New pictures of older cabinet designs and more examples for inspiration * A completely redesigned page layout and navigation system * An instant, simple 'quote generator' to give a quick idea of what your custom cabinet will cost * Full terms and conditions, payment instructions and delivery options * Links to third-party software documentation and Turnarcades' instruction and support files The development website is currently found at the following link; Turnarcades development website but please bear in mind the site is still in development and will change frequently in the coming weeks. Any queries should continue to be e-mailed direct to me or sent by PM in the BYOAC forum. I'd welcome any productive comments or suggestions and some feedback info on navigation and various browser tests that I can pass to the designer in the coming weeks as this will help iron out the creases early on. I have already passed on a few bugs/changes that will soon be addressed for my preference but I may well have missed some key points. Craig *Please note the overall design and look is finalised and apart from a few graphical changes/touch-ups will remain as is so please no suggestions for new graphics etc. Also, the photos will slowly be replaced by higher-res shots in the coming months so forgive any mis-sized/low quality images. |

Maybe you've passed this on and I don't think it fits in the 'creative' bracket... The first thing I tried was to look at one of your machines. Then I went to click on the next machine and menu had all collapsed again, meaning I had to go through it all again. That's frustrating. A small thing, your T&C page has a bunch of words joined together most likely from a notepad cut & paste exercise. Anyway, looking much better I have to say. |

I agree about the collapsing menu, it should stay open unless you collapse it yourself. Basically it should function like the folders bar of windows explorer. |

Thanks st, it is a big improvement over the original of course and hopefully will increase our appeal further. I have already noticed the collapsing product list; the tiled maze background also kind of 'shifts' on the right-hand side when expanding/collapsing and these should be addressed in due course. I'm thinking of moving the category column and expanded lists over to the left a bit more too, allowing a little more space for the description text and product pictures. I will possibly move the photo alignment to be under the description text, on the right-hand side opposite the prices with a more uniform size. The text in in the T+C's is a quick typing effort to check page spacing elements and the missing spaces were caused by pasting as you described. This will be re-worded, spell and grammar checked with some elements moved to other pages once the site is fully populated. |
