Wait wait wait - my bad.  It's not Natty Light.  It's Natty Ice.  Not sure why I said Light.

Holy crap!! I don't think I've ever seen Natty Ice. How long ago was that? I assume it wasn't recent...the "ice" craze ended about 13 years ago.

Does anybody else remember Keystone's gimmick used to be the specially lined can...bottled beer taste in a can? We were once in Dallas and found a Keystone Dry 6 pack of longnecks. My friend called their little 'got questions?' number on the box and asked is their bottles had a special liner to make them taste like canned beer. They hung up on him.

:laugh2: Laughing my *ss off at the liquor store/university conspiracy to flunk students.

You can still get Ice beer in a lot of brands.  It's a main staple for some of them.

maybe it's a regional thing. Or maybe I just have tunnel vision at the convenience store beer case.

Definitely not regional.  Convenience stores only carry a narrow band of stuff.

Back in the 'ice' hayday, you couldn't throw a dead cat in a convenience store without hitting an ice beer. Clearly they are not mainstream anymore if they aren't in said stores. I haven't seen Bud Ice or Lite Ice in well over a decade. That's how you know you're in a dive bar: if they still have Bud Ice neons. I'm sure there is an occasional obscure ice beer (is Icehouse an ice beer?) in some stores...so it's not quite a dinosaur...more like a polar bear.
