anybody go to the Super Auction? I know last fall was a pinball bonanza...someone tell me I didn't miss one this year.
Flake:
Oh ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- I forgot to mention it to you. I got there around noon. About the same as last time. You didnt miss anything. The auction was 90% over when I got there if that tells you anything. I happened to notice the same buyer number 111 on several of the maybe 15 pinball machines for sale so buybacks were the rule.
LLUncoolJ:
If there were 15 pinballs, that would surpass the combined total of every other auction since the good one last November.
Oh well, I don't need any new toys anyway. I'm gonna spend the winter trying out Hyperspin and retrofitting the CP on my mame and working ut the bugs in ES just in time to sell/trade it.

yea but the pinballs were mostly newer Sterns that you wouldnt buy anyway. Like Monopoly, SouthPark, Elvis, etc. There was also terrible condition Taxi, some Sega games like Space Jam. There was also a Twister and some older crappy conditioned games that I dont even remember the names of. Oh, there was also a WCS94 but it was not in very good shape either. It was a bad lot. Except for maybe the Monopoly, SP and Elvis, they were all very dirty from what I could tell.
Like I said, you didnt miss much and half the sales were buybacks anyway.
LLUncoolJ:
I like Sterns...for the right price. That Elvis is cool, but the middle drain is like a funnel. Still, some intriguing titles...a helluva lot better than anything else there this year. I think the most I saw may have been 5 SS games at a single auction this year.
Did you find a kiddie ride?
