So I'm assuming this board is not compatible with a standard JAMMA harness (2 sticks, 4 buttons each, p1,p2,c1,c2). I know my SF2 had a Jamma plus harness to make room for the 4 extra buttons. Do they make a special harness? Is there some kind of hardware/software adapter(s) needed to make a 49 way behave like an 8 way?

Let's pretend Flake and I have limited knowledge as far as cabinet hardware.

Flake:

We dont need to "pretend" on my account..............if it doesnt come with an IPAC I wouldnt know what to do with it.

I would assume based on Cheffo's comments that the jrok board has a special harness and that if you wanted to use a 49-way joystick you would have 3 sticks rather than 2 on your control panel.

LLUncoolJ:

You should get off your dead ass and convert that empty Defender cabinet into a multi-Williams. I'll even donate a 49 way.

Well, it'll be a real stretch, but I'll try my best ...  ::)

jrok's board connects via a standard JAMMA harness, but has headers available for non-JAMMA connections used on Williams machines.

a 2-pin header for Positive Hori and Positive Vert Sync
a 6-pin header for P1B5, P2B5, P1B6, P2B6, Menu and High Score Reset
a 12-pin header for external soundboard out and 49-way joystick input.

Also has a jumper to run in board in VGA mode.

Interesting...there you go Flake. You can even go the easy route a vga. I'll help you with the cp...you just have to fund the project.
