Chicago Coin Hooligan Pool
« on: April 28, 2009, 09:49:55 pm »
I asked about this machine a couple of times here and no one knew anything about it. Turns out it's a very rare and hard to find piece. They're around but few and far between. I finally got around to restoring this and just listed it on eBay. Search "Hooligan Pool" on eBay if you want to see a ton of pictures of it. Sorry but the only before picture I took was of the bed after I pulled it out:

Needless to say it was not in very good condition when I got it. Here are the pics of it now that it is done:

I'd like to see more before shots.  Looks nice!  Looks nice!

Those lines in the first photo, are they actually there or shopped into the photo for measuring purposes?  If they're really there, any plans to include them in the finished work?

I did the felt silk screening. I took it to a place that does silk screening and called others. They all said they couldn't do it. I even tried calling a company that makes signs with no luck. So, I learned how to silk screen and did it myself. The cabinet is painted, not laminated.

Thank you! I really wish I would have taken some before shots of it. I took pictures of the bed to try and pull the artwork off of it. That didn't work out so I had a graphic artist redo the artwork for silkscreening. The lines were there on the original. I really didn't care for them, and I have quite enough time and money into this thing already. I have no plans on adding them.

I imagine those lines were on the original to help you figure out bank shot geometries.

I'm sure you are right. Like some lines are going to help some drunk in the 50's make a shot ;D

Wow - awesome table.  How do you play the game?

Also, I'm not sure how you are going to sell this on eBay unless someone is specifically searching for it.  You might be better off at an auction or something.  Good luck!

If you buy it I'll tell you how it's played ;D

My intent isn't really to sell it on eBay or Craigslist. If it sells through one of them great! But, it comes up in a google search now. I figure I will be sitting on this piece for quite some time.

LOL! Yeah I had a Hell of a time finding out any info on the thing. No one knew anything. It was like I was asking about Jimmy Hoffa.  :)

SOLD IT! A coin-op Museum in the Netherlands bought it. Don't ask how much I sold it for, but it was quite a nice pay day!
