SERIOUS ipac4 problem. PLEASE HELP!!!
genesim:
I prefer daisy chaining vs putting them all together. Any of the connections can be touch hence looking very very hard at each connection and making sure it is complete. Wires slip out all the time.
There isn't much to know on an arcade. Either it is connected or it isn't. Rarely will the encoder be the problem. Either it is working or its not...no halfway.
Then again contacting Andy might help...but I would exhaust all means first.
daggerlee:
i did daisy chain. do you have an ipac 4? all your grounds daisy together to one common ground?? i have an i pac 2 on another cab.. no problems.

Make sure the player 3 and 4 buttons 5+6 are mapped to something, by default they aren't. I had the same problem
mayhem:
1) Yes double check wireing ...
2) Download and install the I-Pac programming software form here -> http://www.ultimarc.com/winipac_1_2_16.exe
3) Re program the Ipac 4 not all the keys are mapped as said all ready to keys ..
4) If you get stuck in understanding how to program / re program the i-pac 4 just post on here and ill do u a guide as best i can.
these are the codes that have been pre set on the I-Pac 4 ... as you can see p3/4 only have 4 buttons programmed each you need to program the rest your self. Info here -> http://www.ultimarc.com/ipac2.html
I doubt it but if you do have a fault with the I-pac and its been bought from Ultimarc (meaning not from any ware else) then contact andy at ultimarc.com.
All so last point to you. I understand you are after help. next time you send me a privet message please be a little more polite thank you.

It does not matter if it was bought from us or not, its still our product and we would support it. The OP has been in email contact.
