Late 80's and not blocky looking? I'd say that was your memory filtering the graphics.

This is much closer, but its not it, I know it wasn't an After burner as it was in space. I almost think it had vector graphics (hence the clean look I'm remembering or imagining). That machine is basically the same idea, but I'm pretty sure (again not 100% sure) the actual cockpit area moved maybe 1-2 feet forward to go up the ramp. So basically the machine when in the 'end/start" postion had about 1-2 feet of ramp behind and in front of it. It actually moved up the ramp (front or back depending on pitch). I'm pretty sure the machine was 6-7 feet long, and 3 feet wide about.  I remember it as it was so Strange at the time, and I never seen it again ever (and I was a bit of an arcade person, so hit alot in those days in major cities. I suck at using the KLOV search engine or i would be doing more looking.

I believe the game you're thinking of was called Rolling Star Fire.

Did some googleing and KLOV but dont see it mentioned, anybody have some insite on more info on it?

"Rolling Star Fire"  could be right.
