Mame optimal graphics config?
« on: June 13, 2010, 02:41:42 pm »
In the mame options, I have tons of options: triple buffering, Direct Draw, Direct 3d, GDI I think it was called. They more or less all look the same. Are certain settings better than others? I'm not worried about the best graphics, just best performance.

My compy is a P4 2.8 with 1.5 gigs of sd ram. It won't run MK4 very well and other games that I think it should.

Read the mame faq page, and mame32 and mameui help files for understanding of the options each has and how they function.

MK4 runs like crap on your specs, and doesnt really run all that well on my intel dual core. even at 60 fps the game is still terrible, but if you want to play it either get the PC version or run the dreamcast version via emulation.
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.
