New Q*Bert Mini-Bartop Cab
TalkingBull:
Today I started helping a friend build a Q*Bert cab for his wife. Q*Bert is her favorite game and this gives me an opportunity to do something fun while I am in Arizona for some good ole' fashion Army Training.
We cut and assembled most of the wood today. We just need to do the CPO and mount the electronics so we can finish it up. Still need to develop the artwork and order it but I think we can get it taken care of fairly quickly.
I have attached a few pics to show our progress. We changed the top/back of the cab mainly due to his lack of tools and to make it easier to finish.
**Thanks to Steve for hooking me up with the art files!
IG-88:
Cool looking cab. Can you give more specs for it? Like the dimensions and what kinda hardware your gonna use?
TalkingBull:
I will see if I can run over to his house later and measure it out.
leapinlew:
Lookin good. I notice the bottom of the cab is notched at a 45 degree angle (or so). That might be a bit of a challenge on the CP.
Are you planning on routing a channel for T-molding? If so, be sure to make sure the screws won't be in your way. That can cause you a world of hurt.
Good luck.
TalkingBull:
Crap... you're right. I need to move a couple of screws. Thanks for the heads up!
